Deadline is a 2D puzzle-platformer in which the player character, a drop of ink, leaves a permanent trail that becomes solid level geometry. Levels are completed by routing a single continuous stroke to the exit, with medals awarded based on the total length of ink used. Additional mechanics include trail-free pen lift dashes, solvent pools that erase drawn ink, and an antagonist called the Red Pen that pursues or erases the player’s trail.
