Grim Hand

Indie, Role-playing (RPG), Turn-based strategy (TBS), Visual Novel N/A August 18, 2026

Briefing

Grim Hand is a dark fantasy roguelike deckbuilder built for phones: portrait, one-handed, fully playable offline. The weapon you carry decides your hand of cards, so a bow and a sword play like two different games, and rebuilding your loadout each run builds a new deck. Enemies fight in formation across front and back rows; you can snipe their leaders, sweep the front line, or break their morale so the survivors flee. The fully voiced four-act story follows a blacksmith who can’t feed his family and takes up the only work left to him. It’s a tragedy, not a power fantasy. Runs are procedural with permadeath, branching paths, and souls to spend between fights. Demo is free and complete; a single purchase unlocks full game. No ads, no timers, no pay-to-win.

Storyline

A blacksmith loses everything to betrayal and can no longer feed his family. With nothing left but the blades he forges, he takes up the only work remaining to him, descending through the Goblin Dungeon, the Lizard Cave, the Crypt, and the Dark Forest. A grim, mournful, fully voiced story about what a desperate man becomes.
