Storyline

There are confirmed disappearances of living organisms — from insects to citizens themselves. The uniform decline in numbers rules out a rise in predator populations, since all species are disappearing simultaneously and to the same extent. The local police do not possess sufficient technology and are unable to identify the threat or its source.
