We are nearing the 15-year mark since DC Universe Online emerged on January 11th, 2011, and that sort of thing calls for a celebration. Fortunately, DC’s greatest heroes and villains are up to the challenge as the anniversary event rages across the MMO this month.
From now through February 3rd, players can fight the Anti-Monitor while earning some extra rewards and enjoying boosts. All players who log in during this period will get a nice little gift package that includes fireworks and a full set of level 396 gear. “Throughout the anniversary event, players must push back the invasion and stop the Anti-Monitor before reality collapses entirely,” Daybreak posted.
In addition to the 15th anniversary event, DCUO added its first-ever power array augment for this new progression system: the White Lantern Ring. This augment can be assembled to unlock “a versatile set of abilities” that adapt to any role in the game. The studio said that augments require “a significantly lower commitment” while being more adaptable to any playstyle. Daybreak added an additional ability tray to handle the extra abilities from this and other skills.
