Battlefield 6 Season 5 Siege of Vegas: Vegas Strip, Area 51 and the Dead Space Event

Battlefield 6 Season 5: Siege of Vegas went live on October 13 with Game Update 2.1.1.0. EA describes it as the game’s biggest season yet, and it kicks off the second year of updates for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. Here is what EA has confirmed.
What is new in Siege of Vegas
- Two new maps: Vegas Strip and Area 51.
- Four new weapons, a new Battle Pass and Multiplayer Leaderboards.
- Rapid Royale: a new faster REDSEC mode.
- Ranked Battle Royale: it officially launches beyond Battlefield Labs, with redesigned ranked badges and new rewards.
- Balance changes: EA’s patch notes also cover vehicle, weapon, audio and UI changes.
Season 5 content became available at 12:00 UTC on October 13. EA says the season arrives in three content updates, with more maps, modes, events, weapons and vehicles to come.
Battlefield 6 x Dead Space: Convergence Event
A limited-time Dead Space crossover began October 20. EA’s Update 2.1.1.0 notes say it runs through November 10. The story begins when soldiers uncover a mysterious Marker hidden deep inside the Area 51 facility, and its influence begins to spread. Dead Space cosmetics can be unlocked during the event.
Heads up: an earlier EA announcement gave a different end date for the event, so check EA’s channels for the final timing if you plan around it.
Free trial has ended
EA ran a free full-game trial of Battlefield 6 on PlayStation and Steam from October 15 to 19. That window has closed.
What it means for players
Season 5 gives returning players two new maps and a fresh arsenal, and REDSEC fans get a new mode alongside the launch of Ranked Battle Royale. If you want the Dead Space cosmetics, the event window is limited, so plan your time before it ends.
