Pokémon UNITE Will End Service on March 23, 2027: What Players Need to Know

The Pokémon Company and developer TiMi Studio Group announced on October 27, 2026 that Pokémon UNITE will end service on Tuesday, March 23, 2027, at 00:00 UTC. That is 7 PM ET on March 22, according to Nintendo Wire. The shutdown covers both the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of the free-to-play MOBA.

What changes right away

• Sales of Aeos Gems are suspended.
• New UNITE Club membership purchases and automatic renewals are suspended.
• Dexerto reports that no reason for the closure was given.

Farewell event and Library feature

CGMagazine reports that a final in-game event starts on November 12 and runs until the shutdown. A Library feature will let you view records such as Trainer achievements, Pokémon achievements and tournament participation up to the closing time, according to Bulbagarden. PocketGamer notes that the Library only works if you download the data beforehand, so save it before March 23. There are no plans for an offline version.

Aeos Crown 2027 still goes ahead

The Aeos Crown 2027 Finals will take place in Tokyo on March 20 and 21, with qualifiers starting in December 2026, according to Nintendo Wire and PokemonCard. The game was also dropped from the 2027 Pokémon World Championships earlier in the year, according to Nintendo Life.

Background and refunds

Pokémon UNITE launched on Switch on July 21, 2021, and came to iOS and Android on September 22, 2021, according to Gematsu. Siliconera reports that refunds will be available after the game ends. Check the official announcement for the eligibility rules and timing before you spend anything.

What it means for players
