Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis Release Date Set for February 12, 2027 as 30th Anniversary Teaser Arrives

By JamaicanKydd

Tomb Raider celebrated its 30th anniversary this past weekend, and the publisher marked the occasion with a new teaser for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. The game, a reimagining of the original 1996 Tomb Raider, is set to launch on February 12, 2027.

The 30th anniversary teaser

The teaser was shown on October 25, 2026, at the TR30 Derby at MCM London, according to coverage from ETV Bharat and Noisy Pixel. It shows classic adventure moments of the first game rebuilt with modern gameplay. Gematsu credits publisher Amazon Games and developers Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog.

Release date and platforms

  • Release date: February 12, 2027.
  • Platforms: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam, according to Gematsu.
  • Delay: the game was originally planned for 2026. Insider Gaming reports the February 2027 date was confirmed at a PlayStation State of Play showcase, which settled earlier suspicions of a delay. That also means the game will arrive after the original’s 30th anniversary.

Background

Legacy of Atlantis was announced at the 2025 Game Awards to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary, alongside a separate new Lara Croft adventure called Tomb Raider: Catalyst, according to Insider Gaming. Tomb Raider fans can also revisit three classic games in remastered form this month, as Tomb Raider IV-V-VI Remastered is one of November’s PlayStation Plus monthly games. The collection covers Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider: Chronicles and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.

The date gives players on every major platform a firm launch window. No price or edition details were announced in the coverage we reviewed, so check the official store pages before you plan a purchase. You can follow the game on the Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis game page on GameGood.
